Welcome to Mix By Hand…

So I thought that I would like to start a blog to document my adventures in baking and cake decorating, but after a bit of thought I thought that I should include all of my cooking and baking adventures… so here it is…

I have always LOVED food (If you know my family at all, you will know that I get this honestly). Over the years my cooking attempts became more adventurous. I like to try new recipes and experiment around on my own and I thought that this blog would be a great way to share these food adventures!!

The name of this blog – “Mix By Hand” – has a bit of a story behind it… When I was young I was at home making chocolate chip cookies. I added all of the ingredients and then stuck my hands in the bowl and began mixing. My Mom walked into the kitchen and gave me a funny look. She said “What are you doing?”. “Mixing the dough” I replied… “the recipe says to mix by hand…”. Lesson learned… Apparently Mix By Hand doesn’t actually mean mix with your hands! I thought that it would be appropriate to name my blog Mix By Hand since sometimes I find its still easier to just get your hands in there and mix away
